Buckwheat is not a wheat but family from Rhubarb.
Buckwheat naturally contains no gluten and is a staple in gluten-free baking. Substitute nutritious Buckwheat flour for any other flour in baked goods where its not required that the dough rise, such as cookies, pancakes and crepes, biscuits or muffins.
Our Buckwheat flour is milled from dehulled groats.
It has an earthy and nutty taste that mixes well with other flours. Buckwheat groats are a good source of manganese, magnesium, copper, zinc and dietary fiber, and two flavonoids that help promote health and soothe inflammation: rutin and quercetin. The protein in buckwheat is high in quality and balanced with all essential amino acids, including lysine
